Today I took my photo tour group to the National Railways Museum in York, England. On display are many stunning locomotives, train cars, and remarkable models of many of the great railroads of the past. This particular engine, The Mallard, caught my eye because of the unusual and beautiful cyan color and sleek, 1930's Art Deco design. On the side of the engine is a plaque that states this train established a speed record for a steam locomotive in 1938 of 126 miles per hour. In Photoshop, I replaced the original background of the museum interior with an English village to make this look it was photographed outdoors. My settings for the locomotive were 1/80, f4.5, and 2000 ISO.
