This is my dear friend Solange in a spectacular costume photographed in a Venetian 16th century palace, now a 5-star hotel. I intended to create a vertical panorama, but when I stitched the 5 frames together, I didn't like the distortion inherent in this procedure. So, I took three of the frames and manually combined them in Photoshop. I specifically wanted to show the wonderful painted ceiling as well as the entirety of Solange's costume. I had to use the clone tool on 50% opacity to blend the three frames at the two junctures where the images joined, but I think it turned out well. I had never done this before. The lighting is entirely ambient from large windows mixed with artificial light from sconces and chandeliers. My settings for each frame were 1/50, f/2.8, and 1250 ISO, and I used a 16mm wide angle lens on a 16-35mm lens.
