This is the spectacular Tulip Staircase in the 17th century Queen's House in Greenwich, England which is a suburb of London. The blue color comes from the deep shade of the ambient light in the upper floors; the staircase doesn't look blue to our eyes. I used daylight white balance specifically to infuse the image with these bluish tones. When I travel, I assume now tripods won't be allowed in famous interiors. Therefore, I simply raise the ISO, giving me a faster shutter speed, and this enables me to handhold the camera. I used a 24mm focal length of this picture, and my settings were 1/30, f/11, and 1600 ISO. 1/30th of a second is pretty slow, but if you hold your breath, spread your legs apart for support, and squeeze the shutter button gently, you can usually end up with a sharp picture. However, this applies only when shooting with a wide angle lens.
