In private game reserves in Africa, night drives are usually offered. It's a unique opportunity to observe and photograph nocturnal activities in the bush that people don't usually see. In Sabi Sabi, a lodge in South Africa, my photo tour group and I went on a night drive and, with a spotter sitting on a seat mounted on the front bumper, we had the advantage of a powerful flashlight to spot wildlife. Here, two male lions were using the vehicle track to take an evening stroll. I used a 100-400mm Canon zoom for this shot, and the settings were 1/250, f/5.6, and 6400 ISO. I used tungsten white balance so the colors were reproduced accurately, and because the ISO was so high, I applied Topaz DeNoise AI and Topaz Sharpen AI to improve the quality of the night shot.
