As you can imagine, it's very difficult to photograph models with a perfect environment, perfect colors and clothes, and a perfect composition just relying on serendipity. It happens, of course, but not often. In addition, most people here in Morocco don't want to be photographed, even from the back. So, I arrange to photograph willing models and then I put the components together. In this case, I paid two young women who worked at my hotel to pose for me in the clothes I selected from a local vendor. My photo tour group and I took pictures of the women in various situations, lighting, and poses. I then selected the women and composited them with a beautiful street in Chefchaouen. I added subtle shadows on the steps because everything casts a shadow, even in diffused light. The original photo of the women was done in a narrow alley in Fes to mimic the lighting in the narrow blue streets of Chefchaouen.
