This image almost seems unreal, as if it's too good to have happened like this. In fact, the only Photoshop in I used for this picture was to clone out a house and some trees at the right side of the image. I was able to take this unique photograph of laughing gulls in North Carolina because a fisherman was cleaning his catch and the birds were incredibly daring and even aggressive in snatching some morsels from his table. I positioned myself right next to him, and with a 16mm wide angle lens angled upward I was able to capture this image. The sun was setting over the water in the background, so I had to balance the exposure between the birds and the sky. I used the shadows slider in Adobe Camera Raw to bring out a little detail in the chest feathers of the gulls.
