This is an abandoned home in Sparta, Georgia that was originally built in 1820. It was definitely creepy walking around the interior. This is the main staircase; what I found especially interesting were the colors and the woodwork. I've enhanced the colors, but I didn't change them. This is a 7-frame HDR composite. Because it was so dark, I hoped the handheld HDR would help to mitigate the noise issue. Noise is random. When images are stacked, the noise mostly disappears. I used a 16mm focal length for this shot, and my settings were f/3.2 and 12,800 ISO (the shutter varied to produce the exposure discrepancies between frames). This is entirely natural light. In some places, I had to be careful that the rotten floor didn't cave in.
