If it weren't for the coronavirus, I would be leaving today for my Holland/Belgium photo tour. I postponed it until next April because everything is shutdown including the famous Keukenhof Gardens. Sadly, millions of tulips have been destroyed because there is no demand right now. I took this shot from a small plane in northern Holland a few years ago, and I've always loved it because of the striking graphic pattern of the flower fields. When shooting from a small plane, vibration is a serious consideration so I use a fast shutter speed -- faster than I think I'll need. In addition, depth of field is irrelevant because the elements in the composition are way beyond the point where the lens goes to infinity. That means I could shoot wide open which, in turn, allowed a fast shutter at a low ISO. My settings for this shot were 1/1250, f/5.0, and 200 ISO. I used a 70-200mm medium telephoto zoom, and this particular image was captured at 145mm.
