This is one of the amazing towns in Provence. It is Sisteron, and this very unusual rock formation is illuminated every night. I processed this 5-frame HDR sequence with Aurora 2019 software, and then I added two things. The long exposure of the car lights over the bridge couldn't really be captured during the time I was shooting the bracketed exposure images, so I took separate 15 second exposures of the light streaks and then cut and pasted the streaks from three different cars into the HDR composite. Using the blend mode 'lighten', this was easy to do. Then I added the Milky Way to make the sky more dynamic. The original cobalt blue sky looked really good, but the Milky Way is better. Had I waited about 3 hours, I could have captured our Galaxy above the mountain, but since my photo tour group gets up very early for sunrise, going to bed at one o'clock in the morning wasn't appealing.
