To get a picture like this of the Taj Mahal without any people and with this kind of depth of field is virtually impossible without Photoshop. At sunrise, there is always a crowd of people waiting for the first rays of light to strike the famous tomb. To isolate one model like this with such a clean and perfect background is simply not going to happen. In addition, for a composition like this in which the foreground arch is so close to the camera and where the entire shot is sharp could only happen with focus stacking. But with throngs of people, that could never happen. So, I took three separate shots: the model, the foreground arch, and the distant Taj, and then put them together in Photoshop. No one ever said photography is only supposed to capture what you see. It can also be made to capture what you imagine. Every time I take a picture, I image the ideal -- the best possible composition, depth of field, arrangement of elements, lighting, etc. If I can't capture these things with the simple push of the shutter, then I plan how it can be done in post-processing.
