On our first day on safari in the Masai Mara Conservancy here in Kenya, we saw 18 different species of animals including two leopards, four cheetahs, and a one day old baby giraffe. It was amazing. One of the leopards was still quite young and had blue eyes. It's mother had made a kill, and during a break in eating the juvenile stuck its head up to be photographed. I used a 500mm lens for this, and my settings were 1/1600, f/6.3, and 8000 ISO. I used a high ISO because this was shortly before sunset, and in the shade the light level was quite low. In post-processing, I used Neat Image software to mitigate the noise. On our first day on safari in the Masai Mara Conservancy here in Kenya, we saw 18 difference species of animals including two leopards, four cheetahs, and a one day old baby giraffe. Bob Vestal - Truly amazing list of animals in such a short time. Love the color of late day light and, of course, the blue eyes!
