This is the blue cave we visited yesterday here in Iceland, and everyone in the group was enthralled. Ice caves are formed by rivers that carve out hollow sections of the ice. Every summer they melt, collapse, and then new ones form toward the end of the year. This is a hand held 6-frame panorama composite to show the scope of the cave (Photoshop aligns the images and stitches them together flawlessly even though I didn't use a tripod). At the left side of the picture, you can see the pathway through the ice. In post-processing, I had to adjust both the highlights and the shadows to retain detail and texture in those areas. My settings were 1/60, f/5.0, and 6400 ISO.
