I am now in Croatia at the Plitvice Lakes National Park, and the picture you see here is from one of the best vantage points in the park. There is a lot more water than the last time I was here, and that makes for much more dramatic images. I shot this at 1/5, f/22, and 100 ISO with a 24-105mm lens. I didn't need the amount of depth of field suggested by the f/22 lens aperture, but I chose that setting to force the shutter speed to be as slow as possible to blur the falling water. The blue color comes from the fact that the sun had set and the Kelvin temperature was high. I used daylight white balance, and I didn't 'correct' the color because I like the moody tones of the blue. Tomorrow my group and I go down into the park for many different types of compositions. I consider this park to be one of the best places in Europe to photograph nature.
