This is the well-known Flamingo sculpture by Alexander Calder in downtown Chicago. My photo tour group and I photographed it both in the day and the night, and in this after dark version I tweaked the color of the background. By selecting the sculpture with the quick selection tool and then using Select > inverse, I was able to alter the color of the buildings without affecting the bright orange metal artwork. I used a 14mm wide angle lens for this shot, and my settings were 3.2 seconds, f/5.0, and 800 ISO. Note the extensive depth of field even though my lens aperture was fairly large.

Jim Zuckerman - Thank you, Sylvia. Late at night there are few people there. It's the best time to photograph it.

Sylvia - Wow Jim, that is an amazing shot. Can't believe there were no people around, unless you photoshopped them out. Fabulous
