This is the Trump Tower along Chicago’s Riverwalk. It is the second tallest building in the city, and on a clear day the blue glass looks great against a blue sky. I photographed it with a 24mm focal length on a 24-105mm lens, and the original background was solid blue without a single cloud. I like that image very much, but I like this one better. To me, the new sky with the backlit clouds and sun rays adds a dynamic quality to very dynamic architecture The other digital change I made was to clean inside the glass spheres on the street lamp. I eliminated the dead insects and urban grime using the spot healing brush. I usually don’t like this kind of extreme keystoning where the vertical lines of architecture appear to be converging at a central point, but in this case I actually like it. My settings were 1/800, f/4.0, and 100 ISO.
