Some of the costumes during carnival in Venice are illuminated by small LED lights sewn into the fabric of the gowns. At dawn, when many of the models come out just be photographed in the beautiful lighting of this time of day, the artificial lights combine with the cobalt blue sky producing wonderful results. My settings were 1/60, f/4, and 2500 ISO, and I used a 24-105mm lens. I don't bring a tripod because as soon as it gets light, the tripod becomes a burden to carry around. Raising the ISO isn't a problem now especially because Topaz DeNoise is so good at mitigating noise. In post-processing, I added clarity and vibrance in ACR and did a little dodging on the costume to lighten portions of it.
