Not all beautiful architecture venues allow photography of costumed models during carnival in Venice. Such was the case with this museum of antiquities. It is such a great environment, but I'd never seen models photographed here. So, not to be thwarted by reality, I took several wide angle shots of this remarkable room and then used Photoshop to add the costumed model. I selected the model using the quick selection tool, used Edit > copy to place the selection in the clipboard, and then pasted her with Edit > paste into the background. With Edit > transform > scale, I resized her to the correction proportion and then moved her into place with the move tool. I shot the room with a 16mm wide angle lens from a low perspective, and I used the same low angle to photograph the model. That way the composite looks believable. Finally, I added a subtle shadow at the base of the skirt using the burn tool.
