I've been to Whitby Abbey in England several time before today, but never when the fog was so dense you could hardly see the abbey from 200 feet away. I needed a strong foreground, and usually I use a small pond perfectly situated I front of the ruins. But the fog obscured it completely. So, I shot a 12th century graveyard that is in front of St. Mary's church just behind the abbey. It also was shrouded in fog. I then composited the abbey in the background. In reality, the ruins of the abbey and the graveyard are very close together, but I rearranged them for artistic purposes. My settings for the cemetery were 1/60, f/20, and 4000 ISO.
