This is an HDR composite of three photos that I took in Salisbury Cathedral in England. I was able to use a tripod here, and I was grateful for that. Inspired by the work of one of my clients who traveled with me during my recent photo tour to Paris and London, I desaturated this image. I usually love lots of color, but subtle tones and hues are beautiful, too. I've used this technique in the past, but I hadn't revisited it in a long time. The combination of HDR, where we can see detail throughout the image, plus the desaturated color made a striking image.
I shot this with a 14mm lens at f/22 for maximum depth of field and maximum distortion.
