I collect masks from all over the world, and this is one of my favorites. I bought it in Venice, Italy a few years ago. I often use my masks to create unique and unusual images. The rendition of it you see here was done with Flood, the Photoshop plug-in that makes realistic reflections. I photographed the mask against a piece of black velvet and then added Flood to the bottom of the image. Then, for an interesting twist, I rotated the image 180 degrees and added Flood again to the top portion. Then, I rotated it again 180 degrees so it was now right-side up.
