This is Mandalay Palace in Mandalay, Myanmar (Burma). The sky was particularly beautiful that evening, and the reflection doubled the impact of the scene. Dusk and twilight are my favorite times to photograph cities and architecture because the colors are so compelling. I shot this with a 24mm focal length. At first I was tempted to frame the picture with a much tighter composition on the palace and compose it vertically. Instead, I decided a sweeping wide angle view was more interesting especially when including the sky. My settings were 6 full seconds, f/8, and 200 ISO.
