I began my photo tour to Normandy and Burgundy in France yesterday. Our first day has been in Paris, and I took my group to the Eiffel Tower for twilight photography. It is a stunning sight. Unfortunately, the French government has erected a new security structure at the base of the Tower, and the picture I've attached here is no longer possible to take. It's still exciting to see the Tower and to photograph it at the blue hour, but it's a tragedy how the experience of visiting this famous icon has been degraded. The best shots now are from a distance so you don't see all of the 'junk' at the bottom. This is my favorite picture from Paris because a light rain made the asphalt glisten. I used a 16-35mm lens for this picture, and the settings were .4 seconds, f/2.8, and 100 ISO.
