I was in Home Depot a few days ago and saw these wild and bizarre plants, and the first thing I thought of was an image of a surreal landscape dotted with this otherworldly vegetation. So, I tried something that I hadn't done before -- I took closeup pictures of the plants with my iPhone X to use in the composite. I figured that the images would be a relatively small part of the entire composition, thus the resolution might be fine. For the landscape, I created a digital scene using the program Artmatic Voyager. The 'celestial' sky is actually another image of a glass tray of water with vegetable oil poured into it and lit with a flash from below. Pretty crazy, I know. For the aquatic creature, I use a gecko I photographed in my frog and reptile workshop.

Jim - Hi Bryan, The gecko is supposed to be slightly submerged in the water -- shallow enough so it is not obscured.

Bryan - I agree with Maria. I was curious, however, about the placement and angle of the geko. Is it supposed to be floating in the water?
