I started my Photoshop online training this morning, and tomorrow morning the second class begins. I though I'd post a portrait I took of a beautiful model in which I used Photoshop's tools to transform the image into more of a stylized painting than a photograph. I first turned the color photo into black and white with Edit > transform > black and white, and then I colored the eyes, the necklace, and the blouse using the brush tool on 25% opacity. I then enlarged the young woman's eyes with Filter > liquify (using the 'bloat' tool), and I lightened the skin so her face is the brightest area of the image. Finally, I used the burn tool to muted the background. In the studio, I used one flash head and soft box on the model and one on the background. I captured this with a 100mm focal length, and the settings were 1/60, f/5.6, and 400 ISO.
