I am just finishing an online Photoshop train course this morning and starting another one next week, so I thought I'd post a favorite composite. I created the background fantasy landscape in a stand alone program called Artmatic Voyager, and then I pasted into the scene a young woman in 19th century attire riding a Gypsy vanner horse. These horses are known for their 'feathering' -- the beautiful hair around their feet and their long manes and tails. That made the selection process especially challenging, I spent three hours working at 600% to select the horse with the finest of detail in the hair. In the original shot, the woman and the Gypsy vanner were backlit, so I placed them in front of the sun so the lighting made sense. To make the localized reflection, I selected a small area in front of the subjects and used the Photoshop plugin, Flood.
