There is a giant Jabiru stork nest right behind one of the lodges I use for my Pantanal photo tour in Brazil. The mated pair returns to the nest usually just after sundown. I waited on the ground beneath the dead tree supporting the nest, hoping to catch one of the birds with its wings open against the sky. My planning and patience paid off, but the sunset glow was behind me, not behind the bird. So, after I saw I'd captured the flight shot, I turned and photographed the colorful sky. Using one of the blend modes in Photoshop, I replaced the original dull blue sky behind the bird with the sky I really wanted. Notice that both the stork and the sunset colors are sharp. This would have been impossible with the 215mm focal length I used simply because of the depth of field limitations with long lenses. With Photoshop, though, pretty much anything is possible. My settings for the flight shot were 1/500, f/5.6, 640 ISO, and I used a 70-200mm lens with a 1.4x teleconverter.
