My semi-annual frog and reptile workshop is coming up in two weeks in St. Louis, and I wanted to post one of my favorite pictures from the two-day workshop. This is the frog that everyone wants to photograph -- the red eye tree frog from Costa Rica. With bulging red eyes, green skin, yellow feet, and a blue and yellow stripped belly -- who would have thought? This picture was originally vertical, but I rotated it 90 degrees to make it horizontal and then applied the Photoshop plug-in Flood (made by flamingpear.com) to add the 'water', making it appear as if the frog is looking at its own reflection. My settings for this were 1/125, f/32, 200 ISO, and I used a 50mm macro lens with a ring flash for illumination. I hand held the camera.

Jim - Bob, Flood is my favorite PS plug-in. And it's cheap -- $35 I think (was $29 for years). You can do so much with it. I'll post another image today showing it's potential.

Bob Vestal - This certainly shows the potential of the Flood software. I have seen how you use it for landscapes as well. Thank you for making us aware of it. Need to try it.
