I photographed this hot rod at the huge annual car show in Louisville, Kentucky. The owner told me it has 1300 horsepower, and of course I asked him how fast would it go. He said, 'I don't know; I've never gone that fast.' I can only imagine. It was originally sitting in a large parking lot with a terrible background and unattractive asphalt beneath the tires. That's why I replaced the background with something dynamic, and that's why I eliminated the asphalt with a watery reflection using the plugin 'Flood 2'. The lighting obviously doesn't match, but in this particular case I felt I could get away with it. The hot rod is a fantasy car, so I created a fantasy composite. In addition, the size of the sun is obviously not in proportion. I used a 500mm telephoto to shoot the sun while the car was photographed with a 24-105mm lens.
