I arrived in Singapore a few hours ago to begin my Singapore/Indonesia photo tour. This city is remarkable on many levels, and one example is this extraordinary waterfall. But what is so incredible is that this is in the Singapore airport! I photographed it before my wife and I took a taxi to the hotel. Because of the contrast -- the sky seen through the domed glass was several f/stops brighter than the shadow areas below -- I took this with a 7-frame HDR sequence. Given the falling water and the people walking by, I had my doubts as to the success of the composite. But, it worked. I used a 16mm focal length, and in processing the HDR I checked the box 'Remove ghosts'. That apparently took care of the movement. With the sliders in the dialog box, I added clarity, vibrance, and I opened the shadows and toned down the highlights. It took me a while to find the best vantage because it's a huge airport with an incredible upscale shopping mall, but eventually I found what I think is the place that afforded the best composition. The shutter speed varied which produced the bracketed exposures, and my other settings were f/5.0 and 125 ISO.
