I've begun my Holland and Belgium photography tour, and the highlight of the trip is Keukenhof Gardens. It consists of 80 acres of manicured perfection, and it is here that flower growers -- especially tulip farmers -- display the beautiful and exotic varieties they have to sell. It is the most dazzling display of natural color in the world. I used a 24-105mm lens for this shot, and my settings were 1/320, f/22, and 5000 ISO. The reason the ISO is high is because I wanted to use the smallest lens aperture for complete depth of field, and handholding the camera meant the ISO had to be high to keep the speed of the shutter fast. There was a slight breeze, and the flowers were moving. The sky was partly sunny, so to avoid too much contrast I waited for a cloud to cover the sun before I took the picture.
