My tendency when I shoot pictures like this street scene in Havana is to use Photoshop to clean up the unattractive elements such as electrical lines, trash, rags, telephone poles, etc. In this case, though, I left them in to give the viewer a feel of what the place really looked like. This is, in essence, the debate between fine art and photojournalism. I've always considered myself an artist with a camera, but many people who travel with me want to capture what they see. Both approaches are valid, and once in a while I shoot with a photojournalistic slant. My settings for this picture were 1/80th, f/4, and 800 ISO. I used a 14mm wide angle lens because the street was narrow.
