This is a ghost glass frog I captured in Costa Rica. With macro photography, wind is the enemy. If there is even the slightest of breezes, long exposures aren't possible. That's unfortunate because small lens apertures -- essential for complete depth of field of tiny subjects -- can only be used with slow shutter speeds or very high ISO settings. I was lucky in this instance because the air was perfectly still. My settings were 1/6 second, f/16, and 400 ISO. I used a 70-200mm Canon zoom along with one extension tube that reduced the minimum focusing distance between the lens and the subject. I used a tripod as well.
