This is the Banos de Dona Maria de Padilla in the Alcazar of Seville, Spain. I loved the symmetry, design, and lighting in this subterranean room. It was very dark, and in these situations where tripods are not allowed, the strategy I use is to raise the ISO high enough until the shutter speed is fast enough to insure sharp pictures. In this case, 6400 ISO gave me 1/60th of a second at f/4.5. I set the camera to tungsten white balance, and in composing this, I made sure it was perfectly symmetrical. I used a 16-35mm lens set to 23mm. It's very easy to skew photographs when using wide angle lenses, so I pay close attention to the placement of all the elements in the frame.
