This is Milford Sound in New Zealand. It is one of the wettest places in the world. It rains on average 182 days a year, and when it's not raining, it's usually very gray. I was hoping against hope that when my photography group stayed here for two days in 2018, we'd have the kind of lighting that makes this place spectacular to photograph. No such luck. So, not to be thwarted by reality, I combined a dull gray picture of the Sound with a pink sunset and, using a blend mode in Photoshop, came up with this. This is exactly what I wanted. I had to clone out a few rocks in the foreground to make the mirror reflection perfect. My settings for the original picture of the Sound were 1/1000, f/8, and 400 ISO. I used a 35mm focal length on a 16-35mm Canon wide angle lens.
