Sometimes begging works! One of the subjects i was most looking forward to photographing in Portugal is this incredible interior, the Church of Sao Lourenco (St. Lawrence) in Almancil, Portugal. But when I arrived, the no photos sign was the first thing I saw. I was so upset since I'd driven two hours to get there and besides, I really wanted the pictures. When I spoke to the lady selling tickets to enter the church, I told her I had traveled all the way from America just to take pictures of this spectacular church and that I'd be terribly disappointed if I couldn't even take pictures for a minute or two. She took pity on me, apparently, because she stole a glance into the church and told me when the small group of people that were in there left, I could take pictures for five minutes (she didn't want others to see I was shooting) No tripod, of course, but I raised the ISO to 1600 and got my shots. This sad, pathetic, disappointed photographer routine doesn't always work, of course, but I thought it was worth a try. I used a 14mm lens with a shutter of 1/60th at f/4.5.

Jim - Hi Daniel, They sell books and postcards. No idea if they have a contract with a local photographer.

Daniel Reynaud - Well done !! The " Puss'n Boots maneuver " ( the animated movie, voiced by Banderas !! ) And it would have been a shame not to bring back those pics. Are they selling their own ? Do they have a contract with a local photographer ?
