There is an unusual street in Lisbon, Portugal in which the pavement is painted pink. Hanging over one section of the street are colorful umbrellas, and when I took my group there to photograph it, there were too many people. So, we returned the next morning at 6:30am and the street was empty. The sodium vapor street lamps were illuminating the scene, and the yellowish light added a visually compelling element to an already surreal place. I took this shot with a 24-105mm lens, and the settings were 1/60, f/4.0, and 5000 ISO. I liked the backlit fabric of the umbrellas against the cobalt blue sky. For me, this twilight lighting made a more dramatic picture than the typical daylight scene.
