I had a wonderful photo session this morning with a young aspiring model, Lauren Isabella, and this is my favorite shot. The antique temple doors behind Lauren are hand carved teak. This is one of the treasures I brought back from Indonesia. She is seated in mahogany lion chair also from Indonesia, and I thought the colors of the wood harmonized with her beautiful dress perfectly. Instead of setting up studio lighting in my living room, I used the diffused window light coming from several windows in front of and to both sides of Lauren, and this provided very flattering light with no distracting shadows. With the ability to raise ISO settings now without too much noise, I didn't even use a tripod. My camera settings were 1/200, f/5.6, 1250 ISO, and I used a Canon 1Dx Mark II with a 24-105mm lens.
