I photographed these Samburu men with a 16mm focal length, and by arranging them in front of a low-angled sun, the meter read the light such that a silhouette resulted. I simulated a sepia-toned look by adding red and yellow with Image > adjustments > color balance followed by desaturating the color in Image > adjustments > hue/saturation. I find that most of the people I photography in foreign countries are quite cooperative in posing per my requests. A smile and a gentle manor goes a long way. They enjoy seeing the pictures on the back of my camera, and this is a great ice-breaker to have them relax and have fun with the photographic process. My settings were 1/800, f/14, and 200 ISO.
