This is Kelimutu National Park located in the mountains of Flores Island in the Indonesian archipelago. It is famous for having three colorful lakes that actually change color over time. I shot this panorama view with 8 frames, overlapping about 50%, and then I stitched them together in Photoshop to create this sweeping view. I usually try and avoid midday sunlight for landscapes, but this is a rare situation in which this kind of light was exactly what was needed to bring out the saturated and somewhat eerie color of the lakes. My settings were 1/40, f/22, and 400 ISO. I used a tripod, and the camera was positioned vertically.
