When I went out last night to walk my dogs, the sky was really dramatic. A gibbous moon backlit a unique pattern of clouds, so I grabbed my Canon R5 and photographed it at first handheld using a high ISO and then from a tripod using a 100 ISO. I realized, though, that a 15 second exposure wouldn't work with a low ISO because the clouds were moving quite quickly due to the wind and I didn't want them to blur. So, my final exposure was 2.5 seconds at f/4 with 1000 ISO. I used a 24mm focal length, and the width of the lens helped mitigate the movement. A pretty sky by itself is nice, but I mentally browsed my photo library looking for a strong foreground that would work with the dramatic sky. I settled on Stonehenge taken on a day with a thick cloud cover. I reduced the exposure on the ancient stones and used Image > adjustments > color balance to add a bluish tone to them, indicative of a night exposure. I replaced the original sky with the Sky Replacement command under the Edit tab in Photoshop.

Jim Zuckerman - Hi Wendy,
I apologize for my tardy response. I just discovered this morning that all of the emails sent to me via my website have been going to Spam for several months. I just fixed that, but I'm playing catch up now.
Yes, I can sell a print. I just need to know the size you're considering, and then I can quote a price for you.
Thanks for appreciating my work.
Jim

Wendy - I love the drama you've created in this piece. Any chance you would consider selling a print? Thank you.
