Since so many people commented on the picture in yesterday's post, I'm showing you another variation. Once the selection is made in Photoshop, the tall ship can be placed in many different environments as long as the lighting and the perspective works. Here you can see more clearly how I retained the details of the ship's rigging. It took me about an hour to make this precise selection. I photographed this iceberg on Lake Argentina in Patagonia. The dark mountain background and the low clouds created a dramatic mood to the scene. The reflection in this shot was again made by Flood. It's hard to get a sense of how large the iceberg is, but I would guess the highest point of the blue ice is about equivalent to a 40 story building.
