This is a two-toed sloth I captured in Costa Rica. Sloths are very slow moving, so that makes them relatively easy to photograph. They live their lives in trees, and often there is too much vegetation between the shooting position and the animal. That makes a clear view of them challenging. In addition, the background is often busy. In this shot, there were a few openings in the leaves where the bright sky could be seen, and those areas were quite distracting. In Photoshop, I used the clone tool to obliterate the blown highlight so all of our attention could be directed to the sloth. My settings were 1/100, f/5.0, and 400 ISO.
