This is the ruins of a 17th century casbah (a fortified house) a little east of Marrakesh. I shot this the day before the earthquake. My group photographed this elderly man and then he invited us for tea in his home. It's interesting to me when I re-visit a place two or three times, I find many compositions that eluded me the first time I was there. Obviously no one can see every good composition in a location, and that's why I appreciate having the chance to go back and look with fresh eyes to find more photographic possibilities. I completely missed this shot the first time I brought a group here because I didn't know the second floor was accessible. I shot this with a 16-35mm wide angle, and the settings were 1/125, f/5.0, and 3200 ISO.
