My photography group and I were in Marrakech, Morocco last night and were jolted awake just after 11pm due to the terrible earthquake that devastated so many lives there. There was one moment when I thought the hotel was going to collapse from the violent shaking, but fortunately it didn't last more than a few seconds. We were all unharmed. When we left Marrakech this morning, I could see a lot of rubble and structural damage. I photographed this colorful and very graphic shot earlier in the day yesterday. This is Marjorelle Garden, owned at one time by Yves Saint Laurent, and it offers a lot of beautiful compositions. I took this with my Canon R5 and a 24-105mm lens while trying to protect the burn wounds on my right hand. Thank you all for the kind messages you sent me regarding my accident. I appreciate that very much. My settings were f/500, f/8, and 1250 ISO.

Barbara Vickers - So glad to learn that you and the group are OK. Of course I was worried about you all.
