For me, at least, it would be very hard to eat a hamburger after seeing these cute and comical highland cattle in Scotland. I've take a lot of pictures of these guys, but the image I saw in my mind that really wanted to capture was a wide angle closeup like this one. I took this picture with a 24mm focal length on a 24-105mm lens. Cows are very curious, and they often approach quite closely. That's what I was hoping for. There was a fence between us, so I stretched as far as I could to place the lens as close as possible to exaggerate the perspective. The closer a wide angle lens is to the subject, the more distortion you get. I thought that would add to the comedic look of this portrait. My settings were 1/250, f/11, and 500 ISO. In all of my photo tours to Scotland, I make a point to seek out the highland cattle because everyone enjoys photographing them.
