The Costa Rica photo tour I organize (the next one is this November) is mostly for hummingbirds and other exotic tropical birds, but we also have a day of reptile and amphibian photography that everyone loves. In addition, one of our lunch stops is at a restaurant that has been feeding wild iguanas for many years, and they hang around on the trees, the stone walls, and the ground waiting for handouts of lettuce and other vegetables. You can get frame filling shots with just a 200mm focal length, and many of the iguanas are impressively huge. For this picture, my settings were 1/640, f/6.3, 400 ISO. I wanted a tight shot of this guy, so I added a 1.4x teleconverter to my 70-200mm f/2.8 telephoto and hand held the shot. I usually like a lot of depth of field, but in this instance I think the reptile stands out more because of the shallow focus.

Jim - Hi Ken, I see the images and I haven't had complaints from anyone else. Is it possible the issue is on your end?

Ken - Hi Jim
Not sure what is happening with your blog. Last couple of months images are not showing. Any ideas? Regards Ken
