During one of my winter workshops many years ago, this juvenile grizzly bear momentarily got stuck in a tree. It was very funny, actually, but for the bear, I'm sure it was quite embarrassing. The mishap lasted several seconds, and that allowed me to quickly set up my tripod and take the shot with my medium format film camera, the Mamiya RZ 67. Today, I would be able to fire off probably 30 shots and capture every nuance of the situation. In the '90s, I had time for only a single picture with the fully manual camera. How times have changed. My settings were probably 1/250, f/11, and for wildlife then I always used Fujichrome Provia 100 because it was one f/stop faster than Velvia, which was 50 ISO.
