The colors this year in Vermont are the best I've ever seen. Most of the mountains are covered in reds, oranges, yellows, and greens, and at this moment the autumn colors are peaking. Yesterday the entire day was sunny, and I much prefer diffused light for photographing color leaves. Nevertheless, the beautiful landscape opportunities were still amazing as you can see here. In post-processing, I did the usual enhancements -- vibrance, clarity, a touch of contrast, and altering the exposure to taste using the 'whites' slider in ACR. In this shot, I also replaced the green grass at the bottom of the frame with a watery reflection using the plugin 'Flood'. My settings for this shot were 1/500, f/11, and 500 ISO.
