This is a classic photograph of New England and specifically Vermont. The traditional white church set against a typical red barn surrounded by autumn color is hard to beat. This is the village of Peacham, Vermont. I used a 100-500mm Canon lens, and my settings were 1/500, f/9, and 500 ISO. My photo tour group waited for the sun to show through a window in the western clouds near sunset, and we did, in fact, get what I was hoping for. It turned out, however, I liked the diffused lighting better than the golden light. It seems the colors of the trees appear more saturated than when lit directly by the sun.
