I'm home now, at least for a short time, after my photo tours to Morocco and England/Wales. The best part about coming home is the greeting I get from my dogs. What a joy! As soon as they calm down from their unbridled excitement, I go to my computer and start working on my pictures. One of the subjects I've wanted to photograph in Morocco for years is a young and beautiful Berber bride. The Berbers are the main ethnic group in Morocco aside from the Arabs, and this desert tribe decorates brides with spectacular adornment. Arranging a model shoot with a bride isn't easy, however, thus I've not done it yet. I've requested this for my next Morocco tour, and we'll see if my local tour operator can make it happen. Not to be thwarted by reality, however, I created a Berber bride in AI. I then used Photoshop to replace the original black AI background with a photograph I took on the tour. I shot the door in a 17th century kasbah. The original color of the ancient wooden door was a too-bright yellowish/brown, so I reduced the exposure on it and then desaturated the color with the pulldown menu command, Image > adjustments > hue/saturation. The prompts I used for the bride were: "beautiful teenage Berber bride bejeweled with traditional adornment, studio lighting, photo realistic --ar 2:3". If you might have forgotten, the --ar 2:3 is a code for making the picture rectangular and vertical as opposed to square, which is the Midjourney default. My next online AI course starts October 14.
